Guelph Seminar

What We Do

The Guelph Seminar is an informal group representing
diverse religious perspectives that fosters meaningful community conversations
by bringing thoughtful and provocative speakers to Guelph. Through these
engaging presentations, we create opportunities for dialogue that enriches and
deepens faith understanding across different religious traditions.

Upcoming Event - Saturday, 21 March 2026 - 1-4 PM

A Tribute and Celebration of the

Life and Work of Jane Goodall

This past year the world lost a woman who helped us see nature, and especially our fellow creatures, in a new way. Jane Goodall was an amazing scientist as well as a prophet, speaking and seeking ways that we humans could be friends with nature rather than exploiters and despoilers. We want to honour and celebrate her life, work and legacy in this time of planetary crisis.

Guelph Seminar will be hosting this event in partnership with

ABOUT US

Mission/Purpose

An informal group of people,

of differing religious and spiritual communities and outlooks, which, in the absence of a religious studies department at the University of Guelph,

work collaboratively with the wider Guelph community, to bring to the city or identify within it,

thoughtful leaders who would help

foster conversations that matter,

discussions that might not otherwise happen,

deepening understanding about topics of shared concern, trusting that learning leads change

and facilitates better spiritual, social and environmental health for all.
